The Biotechnology Research Centre (BRC) was established in 1999 to function as a center of excellence in the field of Biotechnology at Al-Nahrain University, Iraq. The BRC have three Departments:
• Department of Medical and Molecular Biotechnology.
• Department of Environmental Biotechnology
• Department of Plant Biotechnology.
Promotes Biotechnology in applied research projects to solve problems in public and private sector.
Transport, develop the education and research in biotechnology through establishment of scientific specialized units.
implementation of research and educational projects to achieve higher level in applied biotechnology that serve society.
liase with govermental ministries for implem-entation of projects.
